Legal Benchmarks approached Zeno to support DELTA, an independent benchmark for Dutch legal AI. We joined as Founding Research Partner because evaluation should show both whether an answer is legally correct and whether a lawyer can use the resulting work in practice.

Last week, the Zeno team was at Legal Geek. An event we are proud to have sponsored. Our CEO, Raoul Bouchrit took the stage to deliver a keynote on what it actually means to build AI that reasons through the law, not just over it.

Zeno's new release rebuilds the platform's core to make legal AI work the way legal professionals think: not just retrieving documents, but reasoning over law as an interconnected body of knowledge.

We recently completed a successful penetration test with Sekurno, an independent security firm, which is ranked as the #1 global leader in cybersecurity. Their team ran a comprehensive assessment of our systems and found no critical vulnerabilities.

In early 2024, HVG Law became the first Dutch firm to deploy generative AI firm-wide with ChatGPT. A year and a half later, the firm is taking the next step: Zeno will power day-to-day legal work across the firm.

Banning Advocaten is expanding its use of Zeno across the firm, following a successful pilot earlier this year. This next phase reflects Banning’s commitment to thoughtful innovation. By investing in legal AI that supports high-quality legal thinking, the firm is building systems that scale without cutting corners.

Zeno has raised €2 million in funding from investor Chris Oomen, founder of Optiver. The investment marks the beginning of a new phase. Zeno will use the investment to deepen product development, expand into enterprise use cases, and grow its team. The focus remains on combining legal depth with strong, real-world implementation.
